After much messing and fussing around with these cold Nanochromes I think I have finally got a somewhat neutral QTR curve for them on HPR308. I've posted the QTR curve and toner curves here: http://homepage.mac.com/stevekale/stevekale2/FileSharing37.html Managing the inks was quite a difficult exercise. It is far easier to cool a warm "carbon" ink than to warm a cold one up. To make matters worse, the Nanochromes - while coming out of the printer dry to the touch - take a very long time to fully dry down and reach a settled density. 24 hours or so. Furthermore they tend to cool as they dry down. I would greatly prefer it if future iterations of these inks were much more neutral to begin with. dMax is an L* of around 9.3-9.8 after a lengthy drying period. Also in the download is the output from QTR Create ICC, ie the ICC profile and the curve's Lab readings across the scale. I have heard that people are getting even better dMax on HPR308. If that's the case I would encourage them to post results here. I found that throwing more ink at HPR308 did not generate an increase in dMax. Ole from Norway also mentioned that he had much more neutral inks. If that's the case I'd like to see some results shared. Cheers Steve
