Digital BW, The Print

Dear Group,
 I am unable to get this printer to yield a custom sized print off a roll (premium luster) 
without it going into a mode of not enabling the printer to draw back the paper when 
holding the roll button. I am forced to forward roll the whole roll and then roll it back up 
again!
 Has any one come up with the settings for doing this?
