Other than the expense, I think you might enjoy setting up and using 
a good RIP. For you I would suggest something that is flexible, as 
opposed to a preset "black box" type. The real expense would be the 
software for the CMYK profiles.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
