Suggestions re: adjustments to 2400 default profiles to compensate for MIS K4 in

2006-01-12 by jerry78008

Thank you for the insights regarding adding individual MIS cartridges
as the ink gets low.

And now that the subject of profiling the 2400 for MIS inks, to
preferably match or nearly match the default Epson profiles is on the
table - would those who have found their preferred way to adjust the
2400 settings or other (Photoshop ?) means to hopefully replicate the
default Epson profiles contribute what settings they adjusted to make
the prints look best. Including, if possible color.

In other words, if one were using, for example, the Kirkland Glossy
paper (or the EEM matte) what adjustments worked best and how. The
included Epson profiles for the 2400 as Clayton found for the Velvia
setting, are quite good. I would assume that a number of folks have
worked out their own adjustments. It would be valuable to try or work
with those as a starting point for those of us who are to use the MIS
colors and B&W.

PS In fact, Clayton's recommendation of the Velvia Fine Art setting
from his workflow pages on his site, was tremendously time saving and
helpful to a number of folks I know.
I don't quite know of someone who has anything comparable for full
color users, in terms of adjustments with MIS inks, but such might exist,
