For those who are interested, I have been doing some testing on Crane MuseoII Matte Fine Art paper. My 4000 is on the blink (what a surprise), so I did this testing with my 2200 with the Epson driver using the UC inkset (but with MIS Eboni Black). I used 1440 dpi, slow speed, No Color Adjustment, and left all the check boxes unchecked. Like Museo Max, Museo II reaches its ink limit and Dmax faster than EEM. I found that the EEM setting with -15% ink density gave the best Dmax and no reversals in the gray ramp, using MIS Eboni Black. I got a Dmax of 1.65 on this paper, which I consider more than acceptable. Museo II is coated on both sides, is acid free, and has no optical brighteners. It has more texture than EEM and HPR, but is not super heavily textured. Like most 2-sided papers, one side has more texture than the other, so you can choose which side to print on for a little more or less texture. For a paper without any OBA's it is quite bright. Lab values of the paper white read 98L, -0.23a, +2.35b, so it has a slight natural warmth to it. I told everyone I would report my findings. Happy New Year. Lou
