r200 with QTR

2005-09-06 by John Moody

I now have a full set of working chips for the r200 with UT7/FS-Y. Perfect
nozzle check on first try, and head alignment repeated 3 times.
I have only printed the Ink Pattern Page on EVFA at 720, 1440, and 2880 so
far, but I have the following observations while waiting for them to dry
down.

The microweave pattern is not perfect, i.e. you can see that it was
obviously printed by an inket printer. The pattern degrades; more banded,
within ~0.6 inches of the paper edge, making the good image area about 1
less in height than the paper.

It seems the ink dots are too small to fill the lines. This is seen at
any dpi resolution, but better at 2880.

I printed a purge pattern using the Epson driver on Kirkland to evaluate the
bronzing; it looks very promising as Paul said. The fine microweave banding
shows there as well.

Are other users seeing the same thing with their r200?

Best regards,
John Moody
