Hi, I realize that my question might not be suited for this forum, so please point me in the right direction if the following is inappropriate for this group. I am trying to print a portrait of a head shot. My goal is to make the head shot warm or sepia (possibly somewhere in between). But the remaining backround of the image I would like to be closer to a neutral black. That is I don't want the background to have hints of sepia or warm, but rather I want it to be black. Can someone put me in the right direction? I am testing this with QTR. My dilema: I know what to do within PS, editing in RGB to get the desired effect. However, QTR requires a grey scale image. The minute I convert to GS I will lose my tones. How do I tell QTR the different tones in the specific areas. Also, is it possible to see a soft proof of this particular combination before I print. Yes, I have the soft proofs provided by Carl Schofield. Thanks, David
