The C86 with MIS EZ inks is a great place to start. I have not calculated the cost per page. However, if one uses easy-refill carts and MIS bulk inks, the cost per page is so low as to be nearly irrelevant. I describe the refilling at the bottom of my Readme file at http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/C86-EZ-UT-Readme.htm . By the way, for those who need 13" wide paper, I have other printers and inksets listed on my index at http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/index.htm . Often overlooked is that the UT2 for the 1280 and UT7 for the 2200 also have "EZ" modes that allow printing with the Epson driver with no curves. The driver sliders give some control over the print tones. Good luck with your B&W printing.
