1. Yes, it is possible that one of your 'cylinders' has run out. Its either run out or the line is clogged. Having one channel run out is generally considered a bad thing, as it tends to lead to "dried out" heads, which may be difficult to get working again. 2. I think that in order to get the 1280 ndriver to work with the 1270 printer, you would need to (1) install the driver, and then (2) assuming you are using Windows, you would then "add" a new printer, using the new printer driver and the existing printer. A I recall this is fairly straightforward with the older versions of Windows; not sure how/if it is done with the WindowsNT or WindowsXP systems. 3.
