Re: Paper supplier in easy reach of Washington DC metro?

2005-02-23 by Andrew Unger

I agree with Steve Alred that Penn Camera (penncamera.com) on E St,
between 8th and 9th NW, just a couple of blocks from Metro Center,
is the best local source. Take a look at their website to get an
idea of what they have. Not everything is stocked in the store, but
they can get it pretty quickly. Unfortunately, they don't seem to
have a lot of the papers and inks that are popular with this group.
I don't know of another local source that carries anything beyond
the Epson papers, especially, one that you can get to on the Metro.

You really have to look at the internet vendors. I use Inkjet Art
and Inkjetgoodies, both of which are in Utah. InkjetArt doesn't
charge for shipping on orders of at least $85. It takes 5 business
days to ship via UPS (United Parcel Service and they are reliable.
While I don't know if they will ship to a hotel, I've spoken with
each firm and found them to be reasonable to deal with. There is a
small company in New Jersey called Shades of Paper
(shadesofpaper.com) run by Jim Doyle. I've not dealt with him, but
his customers find him accomodating.
