Digital BW, The Print

When I click Print after entering settings in PS CS, the  QUAD2200 print driver 
comes up in the dock and it says "Sending the print file..." but it just doesn't 
seem to be able to do it.  Sometimes it gives the percentage as 0%.  The fans 
get noisy as though it's working the processor really hard.

Then the job vanishes from the list and it says, "no job printing" and that's it.  It 
makes no difference which paper feed is used.  It prints fine from PS CS 
through USB and Firewire using the Epson driver.

System: G5 Dual 2Gig/4.5GB RAM/OSX 3.5

This has got to be something really simple to do with my set up or 
inexperience.  Please help.
