I'm not having any problem with interference - I'm on dial-up, BTW. Under Control Panel/Network Connections I have three headers "Dial-up", "LAN or High-Speed Internet" and "Wizard", with my internet connection in the first and the loopback adaptor in the second under subheading "Local Area Connection". All are enabled.
