Digital BW, The Print

Hello All;

I have tried printing with the MIS  VM HEX ink set on Gloss and Pearl 
Papers.  I use Paul's (under development) curves for the 1270. I have 
tried Lumijet Genuine Pearl, Epson Prem Gloss and Epson Photo paper. 
The problem is it looks like the ink is laying on the paper and when 
you look at a angle the blacks look raised.  Is this normal for gloss 
or pearl papers?  With matt papers,  EAM and  Somersets matt  my 
prints look normal.
