Hi Steve,

Two questions for you.

1. How long have you had this CFS system? If you've had this for over 
a year, maybe two, you might want to follow MIS instruction on 
purging foam from a CFS cartridge.
2. Can you make sure you have a vacuum break in all cartridges, 
especially the magenta one? If you have a solid line of ink from the 
bottle to the cartridge chances are you'll get ink spitting, ink 
siphoning back to the bottle if its ink level is too low, and 
difficulty getting a good nozzle check. Disconnect each cfs tubing 
from the cartridge and let ink run all the way back to the bottle and 
don't worry because you still have lots of ink left in the 
cartridges. Then reconnect the tubing. With a good vacuum break your 
system can tolerate varying ink levels better.

Then print your purge pattern at 720 dpi/high-speed to make sure you 
have no banding at this mode. If your CFS is not optimal you will see 
banding even if you got good nozzle checks.

I found I seldom have to use the windex soaked towel anymore, I just 
dump windex in the printhead cap and let it soak for 15 minutes.
