RE: [Digital BW] A few questions/observations about QTR for Windoze

Carl

As another of those who like to print B&W on glossy paper, I was interested
in your response to Beau's questions. I would love to try your profile for
Epson Premium Semigloss and also your neutral profile that does not use K,
if you'd care to share them.

TIA

3) I have profiles for Epson Premium Semigloss that were made under OS
X, but I think the .quad files should work fine with QTRPC as well
since all of the other profiles you have were also made using QTROSX.
Send me an email if you want to try them. You should be aware that the
Epson UC inks bronze quite badly on all of the RC papers, particularly
when printing B&W. You can eliminate some of this by spraying the
prints later with PremierArt PrintShield. I also have a neutral
profile for printing on RC papers that uses only the LK, LC, and LM
inks (no black ink used) so you could keep the matte black loaded for
printing to matte papers and not have to switch to Photo black for
printing to RC papers. You won't get as high a dmax with this "no
black ink" profile, but for most images it works OK (dmax about 1.77 on
semimatte and luster).
