The ink waste on the 2200 is very slight. The large format printers have very long ink tubes running from the cartridges to the print head where as the 2200 lines are short. -----Original Message----- From: Tom Salyer [mailto:tom@...] Sent: Wednesday, April 14, 2004 6:14 AM To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Digital BW] 2200 Black Cart Switch Waste I've read on the list a lot of ink is wasted switching from black matte to glossy black on the large format Epson printers ... what about with the Epson 2200 ? I've been printing BW on matte papers, but have a quick project to do on Epson Premium Luster in color, which prefers glossy black. If I stick with the matte black on the PL, will I see much of a difference ? Slightly lower d-max in the blacks ? anything else ? Is it worth switching carts ? Thanks.
