Hi I've just got a 9600, and I have to say B/W prints (using Atkinson and Epson profiles) are extremely good - much better than any other printer I've used 'out of the box'. It took quite a bit of wandering round my house (with lots of different lighting conditions) before I could really see any of the changes (aka 'metamerism' ) often attributed to UC inks - even then several 'test visitors' to my home were unable to see any real differences :-) I'm drawn to the heretical view that often we are the only ones who really notice these things and much of the time 'good enough' will do... :-) :-) However... I'm going to have time in a few weeks to really give the printer a workout and I'd like to give it a go with QTR. I don't currently have the means to measure test strips for refining curves, so I wondered if anyone has any for the 9600 (photo ink) they could share? In particular one for Epson semi-gloss paper. I'm happy to experiment and accept that it will not be quite right for my particular printer... bye for now Keith Cooper http://www.northlight-images.co.uk
