It took a smooth tonal gradient, running from dark to light, and turned it into a light clump and a dark clump, so that the resulting image looked as if the subject were peeling after a bad sunburn. It also turned a head of fine blonde hair into a clump of greywhite goo. This, using Krylon's UV-Resistant Matte Finish. I did not have the same problems with the UV-Resistant Clear finish -- it just left the surface glossier than before, without changing or obscuring the print. Sanders.
