Tremendous results with the MIS UltraTone quad inkset (CFS) on an 1160. Of course in conjunction with Paul Roark's curves. I've been an ongoing silver printer for more than 20 years and moved into inkjet printing to broaden my capabilities. Having been a traditionalist I viewed inkjet printing with a great deal of skepticism when it first leaped onto the fine art printing stage. Moving up three years and with several different inksets with a myriad of problems having run through my studio, I think it's time to applaude MIS and Paul Roark. The UltraTones, while still in the testing stages, are showing remarkable results across the board with respect to tonality choices and full scale richness. Roark's curves are better than ever. Thanks to his selfless R&D a bain I had with using the Epson driver, that of micro dots, has disappeared. My prints are dotless and the gradations superb. I urge anyone new to or considering high-end B/W inkjet printing to consider MIS ink a standard, and to those already on board to try the UltraTones. John Lewis
