Paul, Many thanks for the files and help. I have applied the no- adjustment curve but to no avail. I tried printing out the Avebury stones image but there was still the polarisation showing. I ahave a feeling it has something to do with the image rather than the printing process. I just don't know what is wrong with the way the image is created that is causing the problem. I have been wondering if the fact that some of the tones are missing isn't so much but rather that there is too much of one tone and therefore overloading the print with too much. I would appreciate it if someone could produce a print on their 1270 to see if it is a problem with the image. I will try and hook up my flatbed to show what the final printed image looks like.
