My 1280 w/ CIS quit working today. I was out of the room at the time, but it looks like the tubing got caught under the printhead. This is my second CIS and this hasn't happened since I installed it months ago. It happened a couple of times with my first CIS, but I never had a problem getting the printer reset and printing again when it occurred. This time, after I turn the printer off and back on after a few minutes, it runs for a second and then the red maintenance light comes on. After going through this process 4-5 times, I noticed a brass-colored bushing in the middle of the bar that the printhead rides on. It slides along the bar and I'm guessing it's part of the printhead assembly. Does anyone know enough about the 1280 to know if there's anything I can try in order to get this operational again? Or is it likely that I'll have to take it in for maintenance? It's out of warranty (over two years old) and has worked like a champ all along 'til now. Thanks for any suggestions.
