Robert,

Just to clarify:  Paul's curves don't work directly with 
QuadToneRIP.  His are RGB the QTR's are CMYK.  They do
the same thing though.   The curves in QTR were done on an
1160 with VM-Sepia but they ought (famous last words!) to
work with any VM compatible inkset.  If you've got a 6 ink
printer more tweaking will probably be in order.
