Bill, I am not 100% certain, given the topic of the list, but I assume you are looking for a CIS/printer combination for B&W. ConeTech has announced that they are going to release PiezoBW for the 1280 but will skip the 1270. My understanding is that while the two are mechanically very similar from a software point of view quite different. I have been waiting for Piezo for the 1280 myself for quite awhile. My own decision and suggestion is to go with a 1280 and the MIS VM inks. When ConTech comes out with their 1280 version you would be in a good position to try that out as well.
