A few years ago Breathing Color in the US offered rolls of silk printing material. It was a coated silk with paper backing. After printing, the paper was peeled off and the silk fabric mounted in a suitable way. Unfortunately, by the time I tried to order some they were discontinuing the product because of problems getting the paper off the silk. I was told that a better version was on the way. It never appeared.
Do any of you know of a similar, currently-available product? Silk mounted on stretchers and framed with appropriately colored hardwood is very elegant, but I've only seen it with hand-painted images or non-photographic printing (I don't know the process used, but it was common in the 1980's and perhaps earlier).
