I am writing with a very bold request but it's one that is more out of desperation than pretense (I think that's how I want to say it?) I have moved from New York to France, near Paris. Yes, it's true. I found love here and my heart had to take me. Prior to my move here, my Epson R2400's waste pad was pretty much done with and because money was, and still is, at an all-time low, I couldn't buy a new printer.
I am not legal to work here yet - am in the process of getting my permanent residency status now, but I am dealing with a severe economic crisis. (My husband is supporting us best he can and I am living off my credit card). I am trying to make an income selling prints I have already, but there are people that are asking to buy images I haven't printed yet. I do not want to find an expensive professional printer in Paris and I have contacted Epson directly, asking if there is somehow a way they would donate a small format pigment printer but they just led me to a program they have that gives donations to organizations and such. I am just an individual artist, so of course it doesn't apply.
So, I am here on this site asking if anyone has a used Epson pigment printer that works fine but is willing to donate to a poor ex-pat artist? As I mentioned above, a small format printer will be fine for now. I plan to buy, maybe the 4900 but right now, I plan to print A4..
And if you can not donate, if you have a suggestion of where I can find a used one inexpensively in France? I have to admit, I have not researched that yet.
