Hi,
Yes I would also like to know what ink formulation is in the EcoTank refills, I bought a black T6641 refill this morning to test and can confirm it contains 70ml.
I found http://wilhelm-research.com/epson/WIR_Epson_L355_and_L800_2014_08_20.pdf which seems to suggest that it is inferior to Claria. Not seen the 6 ink versions in the UK yet.
Unable to try the ink just yet as I am busy with windows 10 upgrades.
Cheers from the UK
Nigel

I continue to think the 1400 family is a very flexible platform.
The EcoTank printers appear to have larger 3 - 3.5 pl drops.
I have not tested the inks. When they are in stock I'll buy one of the black refills and see what it looks like.

Those WIR test results are terrible. For Epson Premium Photo Paper (glossy, I assume) only 18 years under glass, versus 98 for the 1400 Claria on Premium Photo Paper Glossy.
No wonder the EcoTank dye ink is so cheap. With these numbers, I9;m not going to bother buying and testing it.
