Digital BW, The Print

Since the black toner is made from carbon black pigment, I wouldn’t be very concerned about light fastness. The real danger is that the toner might not be adequately fused to the paper and it could stick to something else and peel off, but this will be in a frame and hopefully not in contact with the glass. Of course, using the right paper is a critical part of longevity here, as it is in all other printing.

Hi,

this is an unusual question. A friend wants to print one of my poems and frame it.

I was wondering if there is any difference between longevity between black pigment and black laser to toner for text.

I'd print it on alpha-cellulose I think.
