My experience with those auto reset carts is that if you have two full sets, and you fill the first one up and replace the epson carts first of all, when the printer/software tells you that you need to swap, swap all of them to the second set, and then you fill up that first set again, and keep it going like that.

That's how I do it... (revamping my 1400 with piezo k6 now instead of MIS but keeping and cleaning my carts).

While you are doing all this research, perhaps you could come up with an answer I've long been asking.
What is the difference between 'auto-reset' chips and chips that need resetting? Also, if you have 'auto-reset' chips, which I think I do, can they ever be used in a way that provides reliable levels checking?
My experience with the MIS carts is that they never need any kind of re-setting, but they don't accurately read the cartridge level either.
