Make it 70x100 or 72x102 cm (28"x40"). For a mix of 44", 17" and 13" 
printers it can be cut in nice sizes without much paper waste. Take into 
account the trailing edge in the printer that needs some extra margin. 
In offset papers it is a common format as 80% of jobs fall within that 
size. Of course quite large for most amateurs to store but it can still 
be handled easily before and after printing. I used to order smaller 
offset sheets for mock-up prints but this size has been more economic. 
The rest is done on rolls here.
