actuallly I often press after paper has been printed, either Vivera, Conecolor, K7 inksets and find the heat actually helps cure the ink never had any coating popping. I use a kraft cover sheet never seen any inperfections after press that wasn't there before pressing. Papers used include HPRB, Cone type 5, Hann. Bamboo, Hann. William Turner, Cone type 2, Premier micro porious , Lexjet Archival Matte, CAnson Photo baryta.

I've used that method with Arches. Â The internal gelatin sizing probably helps with that paper.

Do you find any increase in coating popping off or other defects? Â (One of my latest failed experiments turned one of my very dark plain skies into a strarry night scene.)
