accessible through the Adobe programs? Is it possible to store camera
RAW files and flattened Tiffs there or only the Adobe proprietary
formats? Does Adobe take any responsibility for piracy, theft of data?
Is that cloud storage acting as a web portal too or could it develop
that way? One would expect that Adobe would like to enter where Flickr,
Facebook and more pro web undertakings have taken position already.
I have no experience at all with cloud software for reasons sketched by
others in this thread but good information may take away part of teh
suspicions I have.

Hi Ernst,
The cloud is merely a storage facility that an
adobe user can use ..You can synchronize, if you choose to, a group of files
that you have retained on your own drive. Yes you can store raw files from your
camera..their are no restrictions regarding what you store on the
cloud. Stepping back a bit it functions just like you had a data
storage facility off site. Here's an url that hopefully answers most of
your questions. http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#storage-services read
the storage and cloud services section.. Also note the Behance topics as you
also get that too with your membership.....using it of course it up to
you.
This type of storage does not cost them much to
offer....but 20GB is 20GB.. The thing we need to remember is that using it
is subject to our internet connection speeds as far as functionality and speed.
Ok, now Behance basically allows you to have an on line portfolio of
work..you can direct clients and potential customers ;there..
Ernst no kidding, many are really over the top on
all this. It's sadly amazing..The move that Adobe is making is a
business decision for them .. nothing more.. I think they now understand that
many are skeptical about it for many reasons.. This offer that they provided, I
feel, is an effort on their part to allow us to explore this new concept an not
break the bank.. Your a big boy ... I've worked with Adobe since their
start...many here have ...We have no real reason to be paranoid about their new
business model. Much of what has been said that is negative are just the
thoughts of insecurity that some have regarding this change. I guess it's
normal but I personally have been exposed to nothing that would have me not
continue to work with Adobe.. They have been a business partner with me for
years. They need me and I need them. It's that simple.
My suggestion to you is very simple.. seek out
answers not opinions or others fears.. If you have specific questions.. post
them..I'll try to guide you to the answer and leave my personal feelings out of
it.
