Paul (W), I have just gone through a matching experience to yours, I think. The 1800/3Mk ended up in pieces and in the bin. I now have a 1430/1500 running with the 3MK set-up as Paul(R) advocates. The refilling and re-setting of the carts is not quite so straightforward as with the 1800, but not a serious problem (It was explored in a recent thread ) Print quality with the profiles Paul posted is as good as ever, and indistinguishable from those with the 1800. The option to experiment with Paul's Eb6 & other set-ups as also there if you have a mind to try them.
