All of the factors you noted are reasonable. Not having any experience with the Staples paper, I can't really say. Epson Enhanced Matte is not archival (it's acidic), and it prints warmly with Eboni-6. However, it's a good one to learn on. Then for a more neutral, very archival paper, try Epson Hot Press natural. If you like the warmth of the Enhanced matte, there are lots of good papers with that tone.
