It's possible they are pigments, but pigments vary in quality. The cheapest inks are probably bulk ink, purchased from one of the on-line suppliers like www.InkSupply.com. To determine the relative lightfastness, check the tests at http://www.aardenburg-imaging.com/. I believe none of the third party suppliers have color pigments that are as lightfast as the manufacturer's color pigments. On the other hand, the carbon pigments of the third party suppliers can be excellent. > Also I have to read how to linearize profiles..
