I put the Noritsu dyes in an Epson WF 30 printer to see how they'd work. I used the "EZ" approach used on the WF 1100 -- LK density inks in all the midtone positions. The little printer does a reasonably good job when ICCs are used to help control and in loads, etc. I might see if the WF 1100 does as well. I suspect the WF 40, with its smaller drop size would do better. A native Claria printer makes the most sense for the best photos with the Noritsu-Epson dyes, but for the cheapest 13" printer and very fast text printing, the WorkForce printers are a nice option. The WF 30 may become my B&W card & brochure printer. I'd originally intended this printer for my daughter at college, but the CIS failed to work. Epson is making these printers very CIS-unfriendly. The dyes were targeted at the college student, in part, on my assumption that they would be rather clog free. By the way, page 4 of http://www.ink.epson.com.au/pdf/Claria_photographic_Ink_overview_1_0.pdf has a good explanation of the Claria technology. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
