Digital BW, The Print

I use the same paper and Inks.
I use QTR with the Eb6-quad-1-PaBW-2880 from Paul R.
I save a .tif file in Photo Shop and print with QTR.
Works perfect for me.
I have Windows Vista 64 bit.

For some time I have been using the above combination (except the Hot
Press)and printing on Red River Premium Matte and Aurora Natural and
my print matches the monitor very closely.  Just got the Hot Press and
ran a test print with the usual settings and it printed really dark.
Of course I suppose I could run multiple tests till I got it right but
my budget is extremely limited and the paper is kinda pricey.  Thought
someone here might be able to advise me how best to get a better
outcome.  Any help would be appreciated.
