You know, I was just looking at your post on this problem from February,
and wondering how it turned out.

So there was no way to slow down printing to give the ink more time to
dry? Like you I have a pretty significant investment in inks (UT14 in
this case), so I don't really want to switch to find a faster-drying
inkset. 

I tried shimming the wheels up, but the result was that the bottom few
inches of the print were very poorly defined as the paper fed
incorrectly, and this printer's too small to allow a two-inch margin.

Indeed, I'm not seeing any double-wheel marks on the prints where it's
an issue. So I'll keep the wheelectomy in mind...
