I've never seen the insides of a EX8000, but I suspect that the digital delay is a separate board mounted inside the box, connected to the main board by jumpers. It might be worth checking those jumper headers to make sure everything is properly connected. -pc

>I haven't had this problem with my EX-8000. If you want to reset it, though, you need to press "5" and "8" while powering it up, not "5" and "6". The latter initiates Voltage Reference adjustment mode (hence 'VrEF' being displayed). Reset will clear all sound program data, of course!
