Korg DW8000, Mono/Poly, MS-20...

I've posted this before here, but got no answers. With the recent
activity, however, I'm hopeful someone will be able to help.

I'm trying to sync my DW's arpeggiator to an external clock [my Fantom
X6]. I've set the DW up to receive, and I've tried Omni on and off,
but no joy. I know my Fantom is TRANSMITING the clock data, I know the
physical MIDI connection works, the DW receives sequencer
instructions, but I can't get the arpeggiator to sync, no matter if I
set the arp external clock value to 4, 5 or 6. So... what am I missing
here? Why does this not work?

The arp on the DW has to get a START message or it is no go. Once it is
set up to sync, stop your sequencer and then start it again, make sure
it is set to transmit the start message. Then it should work.(not sure
if it works with a MIDI continue message, but I think it does also.)
Maybe you need to tweak the setup in the Fantom to make sure it sends
start/stop/continue messages.
