Korg Mono/Poly & Trident Battery

Korg Mono/Poly & Trident Battery

2007-09-16 by korg.ms2000

Hi

I'm considering buying a Korg Trident MKII and/or Mono/Poly.
Before doing this i would like to know if there is the same battery problem with these two
synths as with the Polysix and Poly-61? Are they also equipped with this NiCd battery that is
predetermined to leak? If yes: Is the replacing process about the same as for the Polysix?

Thanks
E

Logically, there will be no battery on a Mono/Poly, as it does not have any memory that would need battery power.

I have owned both a Mono/Poly and a PolySix in the past and can tell
that the Mono/poly does NOT have a battery (you can't store patches).

Both synths are really great -I miss them....

The MonoPoly can t safe patches .... as all "classic" analog mono
synths...it doesn t use a battery...
all the best

yes, there is NiCd battery in trident, and there´s exactly same
issues with trident and polysix (polysynth section in trident seems
to be polysix without arpeggiator and MG).. in addition there´s brass
and string sections, played all three together it gets HUGE. my
trident was seriously damaged because of leakage, works very well now.
