does anyone have a service manual or know where i can find one? a few
keys on my dw8000 are dead and i'd like to fix it.

I can provide you a zerox copy of the service manual. But i think it is
unlikely that it will help you out. The problem can only be the the
key switch contact itself unless you see a pattern to dead keys such as
every 8th note. So I think all you need to do is clean the leaf contact.
if it's not gold-plated as the latter ones were, you may be up the creek
as the earlier models were famous for this problem.

i haven't tried cracking the unit open yet, but are you saying that if
it's not gold-plated i'm up the creek? is that because the contact may
have completely corroded?
