DW8000 arp-sync

My mates DW8000(I have a DW6000) has trouble syncing to a sequencer
(Logic 6) the MTC is set but the arp on the DW 8000 does'nt seem to
respond.The MIDI clock seems to work with other gear any ideas why
this won't work or is it something simple that I have not set up.
