New waveforms for DW8K? (and/or other mods)

From what I understand, the DW-8000's 16 waveforms are stored in some
ROM chips.
Has anyone heard of replacing these chips to provide different
waveforms?
Do you know of any other user or commercial modifications available
for this synth?
