Info@... worked. The said in effect that some IC used in the DW8000 upgrade was no longer sourced, so they are working on a new version using modern componets. No word as to when.

I would be great to have a "gliglification" of the DW8000 (with faster envelopes, a main LFO going higher into audio range, a freely assignable 2nd LFO, the ability to load user waveforms for the OSC. and cross-mod between the 2 OSC). With its beautiful filters and delay and its grit, that synth would become a monster.

Some years ago Chris Strellis managed to increase vastly the number of waveforms on his Korg DW-6000 ( 256 instead of 16, if I am not wrong), with the only drawback it seems he is not interested to share the project. http://www.strellis.com/dw6000.shtml Yes beautiful page, a lot of explainations an photographs, but,again, it seems he is not interested to share the project.
