Axiom air 49 , dw8000 / external controller

I have a DW8000, but I rarely use it because I would like to delve into parameters more easily. I read that certain controllers gave me access to all that, but had to send sysex messages or something?. I am wondering if anyone knows if the axiom air 49 could be programmed to send that sort of message? Please forgive me if this has already been discussed... and that I am new and have few clues......
