I sold someone a poly61 13 years ago, rehooked up with them and the thing had been sitting in their closet ever since. They just gave it to me about two months ago. It still has the sounds in it I programmed way back when. Many keys didn't work. I took it apart, cleaned the key pads and contacts with q-tips and alcohol and they all work perfectly now. I have to change the battery which is amazingly still working fine. It is very fun to play with and I think some of the sounds its capable of are solid. I wouldn't recommend it as your only synth by any means Bob --- fx maletras <fx_maletras@...> wrote: > > >> BTW, is there any similar mods for Poly61? > > > I'd say yes it could be done :) > > The scans I have aren't the best quality :( > > Do you think you could put them in the group's > files? > > I have a dying poly61 so quite willing to try > experimental mod as nothing to loose (if i can > resurect the keys first). > > If all 6 filters had a common voltage reference, you > should be abble to control them at once from a > single > knob.
