Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi all,

I've bought a couple of dual trigger pads. The dual trigger cymbal & 
snare pads I've no problems with.

But the dual trigger pad for the Hi-Hat is not so cut & dry. The rim 
sound say's "Being used" and whenever I try to change the sound of 
either the rim or center pad voice, both change to the same sound. 
I've been reading the manual & trying on my own & I'm still not sure.

Any thoughts on this?

Have you changed the "PAD TYPE" in the rigger set up menu? You'll 
need to change it to one of the dual-sound pad types, such as tps80 
or misc 2.

I'm not sure I did or not? (CRS) I did try several things & read the 
manual to try some more. I will double check what you say.

The "DTXpress I" does say that all trigger inputs are compatable 
with dual trigger pads. Funny how I did not need to set anything 
differently when I added a dual trigger cymbal, dual trigger snare 
or a split stereo Y adapter for Bell pad & my spare cymbal pad for 
the 9/10 jacks. They just were assigned properly when I added the 
dual pads.

But again, I'll try that!
