Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi. Sorry if this has been discussed before but can anyone inform me if I can use a Roland Pad with my DTX3 or my DTX4? I was thinking of the PD 6, 7 or 8?  Many Thanks

Most manufacturers pads will work with the DTXpress modules.  You may need to change some module settings to get the best out of the pads and sometimes a resistor across the pad can be helpful (eg with a Pintech Concertcast which produces quite a large signal).  I think the PD6,7,8 are piezo/switch type, so you should be ok.  Dual piezo ones can be more tricky to get both sounds, but it can still be done.

Just not necessarily the right one!

Mind you, I have read every post on this board since I bought my DTXpress III so the answer is usually out there - it just takes some finding.
