Low Battery Warning

2010-02-19 by Stimpy_bum

Hello all I have a DTxpress and it's warning me about low battery. Can I change this myself. How do I fix this problem? Thanks.

Yes you can do it yourself. I think its a CR2032 but I am not sure. I found this in the archives:

"Remove two screws on each side and one on the back and slide the case off toward the rear of the module. It is a button style battery that is easily accessed and replaced."

Back up your kits first - you will lose them. Someone recently did it with the power on (EEEK!) using a wooden toothpick to avoid losing the settings but I wouldn't recommend that! I did a search and found someone who did the same thing in 2003 - it is post 3133 if you want to have a look.

There are a couple of pictures of the inside of the module in the photos section.

Keith.
