I had this problem once before and forgot how to correct it. My RHH hat was sounding great and all of a sudden I lost it. Can't remember how to adjust trigger setting back to RHH. Checked the website and can't find it, HELP PLEASE ! Thanks !

That is the "Owners Manual" not the "Reference Guide". If you haven't got one, you can get them from here: http://www2.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/ just type DTXpress in the model name search box. Unfortunately the DTXpress (I) doesn't have a specific RHH setting so unless you can remember what you used before you will need to experiment. However, if it worked before it should work again, but if you haven't changed the trigger settings then the problem may be something else, such as a faulty cable. Keith.

Here is a link to the RHH manual you get when you purchase it... It's in the manuals folder in the DTX group files. This may get you working again!

Tom, The link doesn't work for me, but the manual is a good idea! A direct link to the manual on Yamaha's site is http://www2.yamaha.co.jp/manual/pdf/emi/english/ssdrums/rhh130_en_de_fr_es_om.pdf or http://www2.yamaha.co.jp/manual/pdf/emi/english/ssdrums/rhh135_en_de_fr_es_om_a0.pdf for the RHH135. But it doesn't seem to mention what to set the pad type to. Keith.

Dear Keith
Interesting! my link is from the Dtx group manuals section... it should be a little slow loading because it is a pdf of scans I made from the manual when I got the RHH130. Can you not find that in the files/manuals section of the group?
and yes I see no pad setting on this.
Tom

Dear Daniel I finally went and looked at the manual ... I remember making similar changes for my pintech pads and cymbols and my RHH130. Go to the dtx group page and open the files folder then open the manuals folder then open or download three files... DTXPRESSIIE1.pdf ...DTX II Owner's Manual - Multi Language DTXPRESSIIE2.pdf ... DTX II Reference Guide - Multi Language RHH130 User Manual.pdf ... dtx RHH130 High Hat manual english keep these somewhere safe! open the reference guide (DTXPRESSIIE2.pdf)and turn(or click) to page 11 and 12 (mark these cause you'll be coming back here) hit the HH to select it and then pick a RHH120 or RHH 130 for the pad type(trigger)(You may have to go to the end of the list) If you are able to change to the RHH 130 Trigger then next open the RHH130 manual and follow the instructions on the 2nd page to adjust the HH ofset and the % gain.... I believe they are just page over's from the trigger setting(top right page buttons) If you can't find one of these Trigger settings you are probably gonna have to do a factory reset to get the set working properly again... and loose everything you have changed!. so go and write down any important changes you have made! The factory reset instructions are on the left bottom of page 30 of the Reference manual! I think I am an expert on these kits doing wierd things and then not letting you do what you need while you are playing... how frustrating! the factory reset is often the final answer! after that you learn to keep things as simple as possible and have it written down so you can make a quick a come back from this kind of problem during a live performance...yikes! And you learn which is a good backup factory kit in case it happens while you are doing something... quick fix when it gets out of hand! Hope this helps! Can you not find that in the files/manuals section of the group? Tom, I have seen this problem before. For some reason Yahoo includes a session cookie in the link so it is useless to anyone else. I don't know how to directly link it. You can directly link to the Yamaha site manuals though. Keith.

Just one point, when you do a factory reset the default ISN'T the RHH for the hi-hat I think, so you always need to set that after a factory reset. Keith.

yes that's right...it puts it to the factory setting and that one came with just a HH pedal
